Scope of this notice

This notice applies to the public website, the logged-in application, account workflows, support interactions, and related services we operate for this platform.

It does not cover third-party sites or data sources that have their own terms or privacy notices.

Personal data we collect

  • Account information such as email address and login credentials.
  • Subscription and billing metadata, if billing is enabled, such as plan status, renewal dates, and payment-provider identifiers.
  • Product usage data such as watchlists, saved views, alert reads, preference choices, and support of authentication or session state.
  • Technical data such as IP address, device/browser data, request logs, and diagnostic information.
  • Communications data if you contact us for support, product feedback, privacy requests, or data corrections.
  • User inputs and generated outputs tied to your account, including watchlists, alerts, saved searches, and any generated scores or summaries associated with platform workflows.

How we collect it

  • Directly from you when you create an account, log in, or contact us.
  • Automatically through the application when you use features such as watchlists, filters, or alert workflows.
  • Through necessary cookies and, where you opt in, optional analytics, performance, or functional technologies.
  • From service providers and infrastructure partners that help us host, authenticate, secure, or improve the platform.

Why we use it

  • To provide the site, log users in, and maintain secure sessions.
  • To deliver product features such as company pages, watchlists, subscriptions, alerts, and saved monitoring workflows.
  • To operate and improve the platform, including debugging, performance monitoring, abuse prevention, and feature planning.
  • To manage subscriptions, billing operations, and account status if billing is enabled.
  • To respond to support, privacy, and correction requests.
  • To maintain security, enforce terms, and protect the integrity of the service.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use necessary cookies for core functions such as authentication, site security, and remembering consent choices. Optional categories such as analytics, performance, and functional tools remain off unless you opt in.

You can review or update preferences at any time through the footer link labeled Cookie Preferences.

Analytics and product improvement

If analytics is enabled later, we may use opted-in analytics or performance tools to understand usage patterns, identify friction, and improve reliability. The current codebase includes consent gating for that future use, but does not automatically enable an analytics vendor.

If you do not opt in, optional analytics technologies should not load.

Account, billing, and authentication data

The platform maintains login sessions, account status, and subscription state. Current account logic uses app-managed sessions. Billing integration fields exist in the product, but the current implementation still includes founder-review placeholders for any payment provider used in production.

Communications and support

If you contact us, we may keep your message, contact details, and our response history so we can resolve the issue, follow up, and maintain a record of support or privacy requests.

Data sharing and service providers

We may share personal data with service providers that help us host, secure, and operate the platform, process optional model outputs, or support communications and billing if those services are enabled.

  • Massive - Market data and reference data provider (configured)
  • OpenAI - Optional model provider for generated summaries when enabled (optional)
  • TODO - add hosting and infrastructure provider - Application hosting and storage (founder review needed)

Before launch, founders should replace the TODO placeholders with the actual production vendors in use.

International data transfers

Depending on where our providers operate, personal data may be processed in jurisdictions outside your home region. If we transfer personal data internationally, we expect to use appropriate safeguards where required.

Data retention

We retain data for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

  • Account data: TODO - confirm account retention period
  • Support requests: TODO - confirm support retention period
  • Usage logs: TODO - confirm operational log retention period

This notice is not currently making a claim about whether any particular disclosure qualifies as a sale or sharing under California law; legal review should finalize that analysis.
